Ture Story: Riya was nervous as she entered the dental clinic for her first day of General Dentistry program at Odontos Eduversity. She had just completed her Dentistry degree at (Name Hidden) University, one of the best dental colleges in the country. She had learned a lot from the theory and practical classes, but she knew that real-life cases were different. She wondered if she would be able to handle them with confidence and skill.
She was greeted by Dr Aman and Dr Disha, the senior dentist who would be her mentor for the next 3 months at Odontos Eduvesity’s General Dentistry Course. He smiled warmly and introduced her to the staff and the other doctors. He then showed her around the clinic, explaining the equipment, the protocols and the procedures. He told her that she would be observing him for the first week, and then gradually start performing routine dental procedures starting to perform simple tasks under his supervision and then gradual moving towards complex procedures.
Riya felt a surge of excitement as she followed Dr Disha to her chair. She put on her gloves, mask and goggles, and prepared to assist her in work. She saw her and other doctors examine patients who had come for a routine check-up. She explained to the patient what she was doing and why and gave patient some tips on oral hygiene and prevention. She finished by applying fluoride gel and giving him a new toothbrush.
Riya was impressed by amount of professionalism and rapport each student and doctor at Odontos Eduversity’s General Dentistry course enjoyed with the patient. She noticed how the doctor used instruments with precision and care, and how maintained a sterile and safe environment. She also appreciated how well the doctors communicated clearly and kindly with the patient, making patients feel comfortable and informed.
She realized that being a good dentist was not only about having technical knowledge and skills, but also about having interpersonal skills and ethics. She felt inspired and motivated with the life skills she saw the doctors gained during the General Dentistry course at Odontos Eduversity and she decided to learn as much as she could from the General Dentistry course at Odontos Eduversity.
She looked forward to the next day, when she would see more cases and challenges. She felt confident that with Odontos Eduversity’s General Dentistry course and Dr Disha and Dr Aman’s guidance, she would be able to overcome them and become a successful dentist.
